About Mike KanzeRobert Michael (Mike) Kanze's business experience spans supply management,
operational controllership and organizational change management. Mike brings to
his clients the insights gained from almost 30 years of helping
organizations and their leaders save money and create strategic advantage
through effective supply management. Prior to his consulting work Mike held positions
of progressive responsibility with The Procter
& Gamble Company. There Mike managed eight-figure supply chains and
mastered commodity domains ranging from packaging materials, new product raw
materials development, and capital machinery, to contract packaging and
manufacturing services and environmental remediation and waste management
services. Mike later became the
financial manager at P&G’s Folger Coffee
facility in California. Further work included finance project leadership within
P&G, introducing a new manufacturing expense accounting system that covered
over ten plants and handled over $2 billion in annual transactions. Immediately after earning his undergraduate
degree, Mike was commissioned a Navy officer and flew in a carrier-based A-6
attack squadron, making one combat deployment. Mike is a Lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.)
and a Lifetime Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.), both awarded by the Institute
for Supply Management™ (ISM). He holds a BA in political science
from the University of California, Berkeley
and a MBA in general management from Xavier
University, Cincinnati, Ohio. His professional affiliations include the Institute
of Management Consultants USA, Inc. (IMC). Mike is a past Board member
of the Northern California chapter of the
IMC, NAPM - Cincinnati and IMA - Peninsula/Palo Alto chapters.
Mike is a regular speaker at organizations
ranging from SCORE to the US
Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey. He
instructs in general management, organizational behavior, corporate culture,
strategic supply management and global sourcing and procurement in the on-campus
programs of the University of Phoenix and
writes a regular newsletter on supply management issues, Cornerstone
TOPICS. About Judith Schulte
Judith Schulte provides general accounting and financial consulting services to Cornerstone’s clients and also serves as our Vice President of Finance. Judith’s background includes experience with nearly every task performed by the accounting function of a small or medium-size firm. Among her other accomplishments she has:
After graduating from college, Judith held positions in accounting and market research with The Kroger Company, the nation’s leading grocery retailer with 2003 sales of over $53 billion. She gained further, extensive experience with the accounting needs and issues of small and medium-size businesses through her work with a regional public accounting firm. As Assistant Director in the University of Cincinnati’s Center For Employee Training In Cooperative Education, Division of Professional Practice, Judith counseled accounting students and managed employer training workshops. Since relocating to California, she has held a number of employee roles and consulting engagements with Bay Area firms and organizations. Judith holds a BA in psychology from Thomas More College, Covington, Kentucky; a MBA in marketing and a MBA equivalent in accounting from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio.
